Chicago-born musician striving to make it in Los Angeles

This was another assignment that was supposed to be shot using the BBC 5-Shot method. I was pretty happy with the composition of all of my shots, however, the cameras that we use are really horrible in low lighting settings — such as the drafty, converted warehouse that the musician lives in. I really enjoy the sound quality of his drum playing, however!

Aaron Hatch is a jack of all trades when it comes to music. He composes choir music, plays piano, drums and guitar, and is the bassist for an up-and-coming pop band called Eyes Lips Eyes.

The band lives together in a converted warehouse north of Downtown Los Angeles and have recently had a show at the Roxy Theatre in West Hollywood.
